quick summary

kallisti aims to nurture the struggling tv and film industry in the Caribbean and bring it in-line with international production standards. kallisti manages a series of phased, integrated projects which build the infrastructure and directly answer the needs of the stages of production, namely: conception, finance, production, distribution and airing. kallisti does not seek to replace nor compete with existing efforts, but to support and join forces to create a powerful regional entity.

The Caribbean needs new revenue streams and next-generation industry development. kallisti answers these needs using the strengths of the Caribbean basin region, i.e.  beautiful landscape and weather, tourism  infrastructure, creative and multi-skilled labour force.

kallisti will operate in all the countries of the Caribbean basin.

kallisti will function as a not-for-profit organisation with a multinational board of directors, including two executive directors. An international advisory board supplements the board of directors.

kallisti will introduce each of its initial projects, allowing for overlap, over a five year period. kallisti will raise funds to inject into new individual companies to run each project. Once the company turns a profit these funds will revert to kallisti to help develop further projects. Spot In recent years a drop in the cost of production equipment and the increase in the number of avenues for distribution has placed the producers cap on the head of almost anyone with the will to make a movie, documentary, radio show or website. We can clearly observe this global phenomenon in the Caribbean with projects like like Gayelle TV in Trinidad. kallisti aims to harness this potential and empower every Caribbean citizen to take advantage of these possibilities of self-expression through media.
